The best job on Cannibal Holocaust so far! This will beat any other DVD that
has been released! Here's their info:
-All-New completely remastered, from original 35mm negatives, 2-disc PAL
edition.
-To optimize the digital picture quality, the highest possible bit rate has
been used to author the film for DVD which requires a large amount of disc
space.
-For this reason the extra features have been placed on a separate disc.
(EC-Entertainment titles produced according to these principles will be
labelled ULTRABIT)
-Presented in a Special limited 2-disc edition of only 4000 numbered copies
with slipcase.
In addition to stunning picture quality:
-This is the longest edition of the film ever released on DVD or Laserdisc.
-Includes 3 cuts missing from recent Italian DVD release, some info:
The recent Italian DVD (Alan Young Pictures) as well as the 2nd
EC-Entertainment DVD release (single disc with skull on cover)
have the following 3 cuts, about 10 seconds in total, all from the "Last
Road To Hell" sequence (around 40-45mins into the movie).
#1 Scene showing an an execution is missing
#2 Scene showing an executed, hooded prisoner is missing
#3 Scene showing executed prisoners being loaded on a truck, this scene is
included but shortened a few seconds in the end
The following was missing from among others these editions:
Red Edition DVD, Cult epics VHS/Laserdisc, the first EC-Entertainment DVD
release (single disc green cover), but included in the editions mentioned
above
#4 the scene where monroe plays the tape recorder and the tribe goes into
ecstasy and the guide tells Monroe
"You did it God damnit! They've just invited us to dinner!"
there's an added second where Monroe responds "What?"
All 4 cuts mentioned above are included in the new, Remastered
EC-Entertainment 2-disc DVD
