Hoe zal Star Wars uiteindelijk worden uitgebracht, is dat al bekend? Komt er na Episode 3, 1 grote Box of komen alle delen los, of allebei?

Ik denk dat als deel 2 en 3 uitzijn, er een totale box komt met alle 6 de delen!!
Misschien ook wel deel 1,2 en 3 bijelkaar als box zijnde!

Volgens geruchten heeft Lucas aangekondigd dat Episodes 2
en 3 nog uitkomen als apparte DVD's en dat zodra alle 6 de
delen geremastered zijn dat er dan 1 box uitkomt bestaand
uit weet ik veel hoeveel DVD's.

Jammer, dan koop je nu de eesrte 3 delen los en dan kun je daarna de box nog eens kopen. Ik denk niet dat dat het plan van Georgie Boy is. Ik denk, de eerste 3 delen los en 4,5 & 6 in een box. Dit hoop ik tenminste:)

Het schijnt dat Lucas speciaal voor de DVD trilogy release, nieuwe scenes gaat toevoegen namelijk Empire en Return.

Denk dat ik Star Wars maar blijf huren en/of bij vrienden blijf kijken tot dat die box uit komt, want ik ga echt niks meer dubbel kopen.
En de Star Wars serie is nu echt zo'n serie om, vroeg of laat, alle delen in 1 Box uit te brengen.

idd er is in een vorige thread al over gesproken, en Georgie Lucas ziet gewoon $$$ en €€€ want ik durf te wedden dat eerst de delen los te koop zullen zijn en vervolgens , dus nadat ze alle los verschenen zijn een box gaat uitbrengen....
Idd da's 't nadeel van Lucas die denkt teveel aan geld en zal dus na de 'losse' delen wel een box uitbrengen inder 't motto van : "De echte fan koopt dat toch wel; al is 't alleen al om de verzameling kompeet te houden." Want geef nou zelf toe hoeveel fans/verzamelaars zijn er wel niet van Starwars.....

Volgens berichten die ik heb gelezen komen in 2005 alle dvd's uit.
Er werdt niet gezegd hoe die eruit komen te zien. Dus we moeten nog ff wachten.

2004 komen als het goed is IV, V & VI uit op DVD. Misschien een box zoals Indiana Jones of alle delen los.
Die moet dus aangeschaft gaan worden. Episode I en II boeien me veel minder maar ik wil toch echt de orginele trilogie hebben op DVD.

We're hearing rumblings this week about the Classic Trilogy DVDs coming next fall. Here's some details floating around the net these days:
In November 2004 we'll see the Original Trilogy on DVD! There probably won't be any added scenes, simply the 3 Special Edition films along with with a bonus 4th disk. Basically they're going to take the Indy trilogy to use as a model.
Also included will be Episode 3 teaser material!
The Indy boxed set just became the best selling boxed set ever. They expect SW to take that title, later this year. No news of any 6 DVD boxed sets or the classic versions of the film.

The Star Wars Trilogy tops the list of "cinephiles' most-requested titles never released on the format," according to a May 2003 E! Online report. Further, the three Star Wars Trilogy films -- Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi -- also hold the top three spots on Amazon.com's "most-requested DVDs" list.
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi will be available in a four-disc set that includes a bonus disc filled with all-new special features -- including the most comprehensive feature-length documentary ever produced about the Star Wars saga and never-before-seen footage from the making of all three films. Each of the three films in the Star Wars Trilogy has been digitally restored and re-mastered by THX for superior sound and picture quality.
"First and foremost, the DVDs will deliver the very best possible sound and picture and take advantage of everything the medium can offer. On top of that, we are creating added-value material that gets inside the creation of the Star Wars films in a fresh and fun way," Ward said. "We want watching this DVD collection to be as memorable as seeing the movies for the first time."

I can confirm some details about the Region 1 DVD release of the Star Wars films, which will arrive in stores on September 21st. What follows is everything that's specifically set as of this time.
The release will be a 4-disc set, encompassing 3 movie discs and a 4th bonus disc of supplemental material. All three films will be digitally-remastered and THX-certified, and will be available in anamorphic widescreen video (there MAY also be a separate full frame edition, but this is still TBD). The audio for the films will be English Dolby Digital 5.1 (they may also be EX, although again this is still TBD), with subtitles in English, French and Spanish. The films will also be closed-captioned. Each film will include new audio commentary with creator George Lucas, along with various members of the cast and crew (the specific participants will be announced at a later date). The highlight of the bonus disc will be an all-new, feature-length documentary about the making of the films, which will include never-before-seen footage and other material. There may also be DVD-ROM weblinks to the official Star Wars website (TBD). There WILL be additional supplemental features, which will be announced at a later date. The films will only be available as a box set, the retail price for which has yet to be decided (despite reports to the contrary). I have officially confirmed that the films will be the 1997 Special Edition versions, as determined by Lucas himself. You should also know that, as with the Indiana Jones DVDs, the folks at Lowry Digital are once again involved in the remastering process. They're doing digital restoration and clean-up work on the new masters.

Ben benieuwd of ze een aantal 'grote namen' uit de originele cast kunnen strikken. En het lijkt me wel aardig of Lucas ingaat op de kritiek op de wijzigingen in de 'nieuwe' versies.
Ik had het al gelezen op starwars.com, ik was al aant wachten op vandaag want ze zijn al een tijdje aan het zeggen dat op 10 februari aangekondigd zou worden wanneer de dvd set uit zou komen...

Voor iedere film in de trilogie is een audio commentaartrack opgenomen met George Lucas (bedenker/regisseur), Ben Burtt (sound designer), Dennis Muren (visual effects) en Carrie Fisher (actrice) op alle drie de tracks. Irvin Kershner (regisseur) vult de groep aan bij The Empire Strikes Back, net als Lawrence Kasdan (schrijver), die ook nog blijft bij Return of the Jedi.

de verandering ten opzichte van darth vader is niet meer dan logisch om de delen 1, 2 en 3 beter op 4, 5 en 6 aan te laten sluiten.
er wordt niets wezenlijks van het verhaal weggelaten of veranderd!
als hij zulke subtiele veranderingen aanbrengt is het nog niet eens zo erg. de special effects zijn mijns inziens veel beter/subtieler.
Lukas heeft altijd al gezegd dat hij niet tevreden was met de special effects van de originelen vanwege de beperkingen die ze in die tijd hadden.gezien vanuit zijn standpunt zal hij toch altijd blijven streven naar nog betere special effects.
lukas had er beter aan gedaan om net zo als bij ET de originele en de aangepaste versie op dvd te zetten samen in de box.
hem kennende zal hij mischien na de release van deze box alsnog de originelen op dvd zetten. KA$$A!
vreemd genoeg zien ze de Indiana Jones box als voorbeeld: bij deze films is niets veranderd, dan had hij dat bij Star Wars ook niet moeten doen! :wink:

Hierbij is wel degelijk wat veranderd: oa in Raiders; als Indy op de grond ligt en een slang recht aankijkt; er zat een spiegel tussen om Ford te beschermen: deze is digitaal weggewerkt (was al amper te zien trouwens)

Hierbij is wel degelijk wat veranderd: oa in Raiders; als Indy op de grond ligt en een slang recht aankijkt; er zat een spiegel tussen om Ford te beschermen: deze is digitaal weggewerkt (was al amper te zien trouwens)
achja, ik heb deze boxset nog niet. :oops:
dat ze dat nu digitaal bijgewerkt hebben is ook niet meer dan logisch; je kon duidelijk zien dat er een glasplaat tussen indy en de slang zat!

So, for example, when Indy falls into the Well of Souls now, you won't see the reflection of the cobra on the glass that was placed to protect actor Harrison Ford. Also, when the giant stone ball rolls after Indy in the opening of Raiders, a support beam that guided the ball on the set has been erased. We're told that some 14 minor fixes were made to these films in all.
