En er zijn nog geen andere processors die dat kunnen :confused:

En er zijn nog geen andere processors die dat kunnen :confused: Niet als zelfstandige processor, alleen met moederbord, videokaart, ethernetkaart en de hele mikmak. Deze processor wordt wel gezien als complete computer in 1 processor, dus zonder aparte units als net genoemd.

Als het waar is wat ze zeggen over Cell dan lijkt het me wel een HEEL zware 'motor' voor zoiets als HDTV. Wat ervan gezegd wordt is dat ie qua kracht het vermogen van de snelste hedendaagse pc's flink zal overstijgen: da's toch niet misselijk.

Interessant is trouwens dat ze de term HTPC hebben laten vallen bij Sony. Gaan ze daar nu toch eindelijk een goed eigen alternatief voor Windows Media Center in elkaar sleutelen? Met de PSX deden ze al een aardig poging maar die was nog niet echt betaalbaar. Ik ben benieuwd wat ze nu dan op de markt gaan zetten.
