Fame - I'm Gonna Live Forever...On DVD!

Popular online retailer DVDPlanet has added for Fame - Season 1, a 4-DVD set from Sony/MGM that they report is due to ship on November 1st. From all indications, this is the 1982 television series that spun off from the classic 1980 film.
In fact, several cast members from the film made the jump over to the ongoing series, including Gene Anthony Ray as "Leroy Johnson", Lee CurrerI as "Bruno Martelli" (who also composed for the show), Albert Hague as "Mr. Shorofsky", and Debbie Allen as "Ms. Grant". While Irene Cara didn't make it to the small screen version, the character of Coco did and was played by Erica Gimpel, who later showed up in other shows including North & South and Profiler. Also look for more stars to show up, including Nia Peeples, Janet Jackson, and Jasmine Guy.
Look for a 4-DVD set that will cost $49.95, but which you can pre-order from DVDPlanet.com for just $34.97. Stay tuned for more information when the studio officially announces it next week, and we'll bring you cover art just as soon as we can.
