Zie onderstaande artikel. Daarna als waarschijnlijk als S.E. 2 disc versie.

Woe, the confusion! Just announced are the details for 9/17 release of the Jodie Foster hit thriller Panic Room, which will first come out as one of Columbia's Superbit titles, featuring just the movie presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen with DTS and Dolby Digital surround tracks, the usual plethora of subtitle options, and no extras. But just like the recent Black Hawk Down, Columbia has also announced that a special edition 2-disc set is on the way with street date still TBA. As always, stay tuned...

Zie onderstaande bericht.

It looks like Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment is about to release Panic Room as both a regular edition and a SuperBit title this fall.
Meg Altman and her daughter move into a new home in New York with many implements of home security, including the ultimate protection; a Panic Room – a room which no intruder can enter. Neither had an idea they'd have to use it their first night. But the intruders are after the goods in the house; they're after what's in the panic room.
The regular edition of the film gets a nice package with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and audio options in Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1 audio or an audio commentary with David Fincher and Jodie Foster. Extras include a "Making-of" featurette, a "Production Design" featurette, deleted scenes and a theatrical trailer. The SuperBit version of course will have no features.
Both versions of film will be arriving on September 17th along with a new batch of previously announced SuperBit Titles.

Las het volgende bericht op DVD Debate (http://www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=2915&mode=threaded&order=0)

It looks as if Columbia TriStar have gone against their word and won't be releasing the 2-Disc edition of Fincher's superb stylish thriller Panic Room until months after the September 17th Superbit release.

However in the price guide (at the bottom of the attached Press Release) it states that the first release of Panic Room will be a Superbit Deluxe, and not a plain Superbit. This is most probably a mistake though.

What's more the Press Release gives no mention to a DD5.1 audio track on the Superbit edition, just DTS 5.1 and DD2.0. If this is true then surely people with Dolby Digital-only set ups will not be pleased as they will have to wait for the RUMOURED 2-disc set later in the year for full 5.1 surround sound. Does this mean that the DTS track will be full rate? It had better be.
