Bob Hoskins (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001364/) heeft te horen gekregen dat hij aan de ziekte van Parkinson lijdt en heeft daarop besloten met pensioen te gaan (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=93387).

"Bob Hoskins wishes to announce that he will be retiring from acting, following his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease last autumn. He wishes to thank all the great and brilliant people he has worked with over the years, and all of his fans who have supported him during a wonderful career. Bob is now looking forward to his retirement with his family, and would greatly appreciate that his privacy be respected at this time."
Jammer. Gezien z'n leeftijd was hij weliswaar al in de herfst van z'n carrière, maar hij heeft toch een paar ijzersterke rollen gespeeld. Vooruit, het was niet allemaal een succes (Super Mario Bros), maar vaak waren z'n rollen in films (in hoofd- of bijrol) interessant. Ik zag hem graag spelen.
