Varèse Sarabande heeft bekend gemaakt dat ze op 6 januari 2014 een 2 CD-set uitbrengen met de complete muziek voor de James Cameron-film The Abyss met muziek van Alan Silvestri. De CD bevat 67 minuten aan niet eerder uitgebracht materiaal en is nu al te bestellen.
