Jammer dat dit programma niet beschikbaar is voor de EU. Ik importeer al deze release via eBay of 3rd party sellers op Amazon & die prijzen swingen echt wel de pan uit... Inclusief verzending & douanekosten kan je voor 1 release al aan €40 liggen. Als je lang genoeg wacht kan je de eerste batch wel al cheaper vinden.

Ze stoppen een maandje later, namelijk op 20 juni. Hoe dan ook, ze hadden inderdaad de nodige leuke titels die ik best had willen hebben, maar doordat het lastig was om ze aan te schaffen heb ik geen titels gekocht.

Inmiddels is meer duidelijk over waarom DMC gaat stoppen. Volgens Bill Hunt van The Digital Bits heeft Disney een deal met Sony gesloten om vanaf heden alle home media releases te gaan verzorgen. Niet alleen het distribueren, maar ook het produceren van de releases. Als gevolg hiervan stopt DMC.

En uiteraard knallen de prijzen van allerlei DMC-releases op Ebay weer door het plafond. Ik zat nog wel te kijken naar een paar (minder essentiële) uitgaves maar voor zover ze nog te vinden zijn hebben de prijzen mijn interesse zwaar afgekoeld. :roll:

Je hebt "must have's" en "nice to have's". Voor die eerste categorie heb je (tot op bepaalde hoogte) gelijk maar voor die laatste categorie zit er toch wel een bepaalde limiet aan wat ik er aan uit wil geven. En de DMC "must have's" heb ik al lang geleden gekocht.

Vlak nadat het nieuws bekend werd heb ik trouwens nog wel Swiss Family Robinson (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Swiss-Family-Robinson-Blu-ray/43509/) weten te bestellen voor een redelijke prijs.

Naar aanleiding van deze posting (https://allesoverfilm.nl/forum/showthread.php?22173-Welke-topdvd-heb-je-voor-echt-weinig-geld-op-de-kop-getikt&p=2107156&viewfull=1#post2107156) heb ik die gelukkig nog in januari voor een redelijke prijs kunnen kopen. Ik durf de huidige Ebay-prijzen van die titels niet meer eens meer op te roepen...

Mijn kleine DMC-collectie ziet er trouwens als volgt uit:

- The Black Cauldron
- The Black Hole
- Make Mine Music
- Melody Time
- The Love Bug
- Herbie Rides Again

En daar zal het ook wel bij blijven vermoedelijk.
