Titanic - 20th Anniversary Edition Soundtrack (4 CD-set)

Het is Black Friday en dat betekent dat La-La Land Records traditioneel hun laaste releases van het jaar presenteren (hoewel er volgende maand nog één release verschijnt: Ferdinand van John Powell). Naast nieuwe uitgaves van Close Encounters of the Third Kind (John Williams), Die Another Day (David Arnold), Apocalypse Now (met de ongebruikte muziek van David Shire) en Dr. Dolittle (Leslie Bricusse) heeft men ook een 4 CD-set aangekondigd van James Horner's Titanic.

Op disc 1 en 2 staat de volledige muziek die James Horner voor de film schreef voor de film, op disc 3 tal van bonus tracks en op disc 4 de periodemuziek uit de film, voornamelijk uitgevoerd door kamermuziekensemble I Salonisti. Het beroemde nummer "My Heart Will Go On" van Celine Dion staat niet op de CD, waarschijnljik door een rechtenkwestie, maar het had de prijs van deze toch al dure CD ($ 49,98 plus $ 21,- verzendkosten) nog hoger gemaakt, denk ik.
