Kan iemand me zeggen of de Thunderbirds box van Bridge de serie in originele aspect ratio toont of in 16:9? Op de cover staat er immers breedbeeld, maar nu weet ik niet of dat fout is, of het met zwarte balken langs de zijkant is, of als het inderdaad de versie met afgesneden stukken boven en onder is.

De discs zijn identiek aan de DVD's die al sinds 2001 in Nederland worden uitgebracht, dus gewoon 4:3. De melding op de cover is onjuist.
Ik zou lekker voor de Blu-Ray collection gaan... Echt gaaf om dit HD te zien..
"Funny. Back in the early 1990s before most people heard of letterbox I had a laserdisc player, and films were kept in original aspect ratio. I would have people over to watch a movie, explain aspect ratio, then start the movie. After all that someone would say "what is up with those black bars?" Many people hated it and preferred the pan and scan on the 4:3 TV's they had then. So then after it finally catches on they make widescreen TV's to accommodate for all the widescreen films. En die uitspraak omvat het wel een beetje. De Blu-ray is onnodig gecropped, dat vind ik zo'n onzin. Laat de consument lekker zelf beslissen of hij het beeld wil inzoomen of niet.
