Hij heeft de laatste tijd in diverse interviews gezegd dat dit eraan zit te komen (laatst nog bij de talkshow van film-rescencent Jonathan Ross op de BBC).
Tijdens de voorbereidingen voor Kill Bill schijnt hij het script voor Inglorious Bastards al grotendeels geschreven te hebben. Ik ga ervan uit (en hoop) dat dit inderdaad z'n volgende project wordt. Een oorlogsfilm van Tarantino... 8)

idd, is zovaak gezegd dat hij met zijn 4e film bezig was en dat toen het script van kill bill boven kwam en dat hij daar mee verder is gegaan. Dus werd dat zijn 4e ;P

Ik ben iig erg benieuwd naar Inglorious Bastards. Tarantino omschreef de film als "The Dirty Dozen meets The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". Adam Sandler schijnt de hoofdrol te gaan spelen, samen met Michael Madsen, wiens personage Buchinsky heet, de vroegere naam van Charles Bronson.

Ik kan niet wachten! Zijn eerste vier films zijn allemaal super. Ik ben erg benieuwd hoe hij het oorlogsgenre gaat benaderen. Ik geloof dat de film los gebaseerd gaat worden op Quel maledetto treno blindato uit 1977. Nog nooit gezien, iemand anders misschien?

Ik heb 'm helaas niet gezien, maar je hebt wel gelijk. Deze film is Tarantino's grootste inspiratie voor z'n WWII-project. Btw, de originele Engelse titel van Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato is... Inglorious Bastards, en de hoofdrol werd gespeeld door Bo Svenson, die ook in Tarantino's film 'n rol gaat vertolken. Maar eerst is Svenson te zien als priester in Kill Bill Vol. 2. Volgen jullie 't nog?

Stoer..mij lijkt het wel gaaf dat ie zo'n oorlogsfilm gaat maken.
Moet het niet lang duren natuurlijk.

Ik zie het gewoon als 1 film hoor, en zo hoort het volgens mij ook aangezien de film gewoon in 2 stukken is geknipt en het nou niet echt een vervolg is te noemen

Madsen on Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards

Film Focus talked to Michael Madsen who will star in Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards, about a platoon of World War II soldiers trapped behind enemy lines. He says that Tarantino might split the movie up into several parts like he did for the two "Kill Bill" films.

"He's got an interesting idea of how to make it. I think he's going to cut it up into a couple of different parts, 'cos it's a big story to tell and he doesn't want to cram it all into one show. I don't know the whole story of how he's going to do it but eventually we'll get there, you know," said Madsen.

Tarantino earlier this month commented on the movie as well. "My next film is probably going to be Inglorious Bastards, yeah. I've written scenes. I've written a lot of it but now I have to sit down and start putting it together in a script that I can start shooting. And that's a different thing," he said.

"Pulp Fiction" director Quentin Tarantino still has a mighty dream: for Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger to join his BIG world war II epic film "Inglorious Bastards".

Tarantino:
"I've said it once and I am going to say it again. I want Bruce, Sly and Arnold for my World War II epic. I have always dream of having these 3 superstars together in a movie. Initially Inglorious Bastards was suppose to be in production way back in 1998 with these casts but I shifted my attention on my other projects such as Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Sin City. And right now I think it's the best time to have them. I am very well free right now to focus on this big project that I have had in mind for quite a number of years."said Tarantino. "I am very well getting this into production this year for a 2006 release".

When asked about Arnold being governor, here is what Tarantino said:
"Yes he is Governor and he has his movie coming up by 2006 called The Kid and I... so I hope he can make it for my movie too. We'll see. Maybe during the holidays. We'll shoot the movie quickly. It's possible"

The only cast that has officially joined Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards is Michael Madsen.

Eddie Murphy is an interesting choice but it makes alot of sense for Q to pick him. He has always been known to cast people into his movies that need a lift in their career. Madsen also went on to say that the actual film will be alot like "The Dirty Dozen". I'll keep you guys posted as more details are leaked out.

Ik hoop dat QT Eddie Murphy inzet als een soort geheim wapen: De Verbale Mitrailleur, bijvoorbeeld.
Dan is Eddie toch op zijn best vind ik en met de dialogen van QT moet dat wel goedkomen.

Tim roth en madsen? prachtig. Zij vertolkten een aantal van de beste rollen in QT's films (Mr. orange en Bud) Eddie Murphy is inderdaad de praatkoning, en als hij QT's gevatte dialogen uitspuugt kan hij vast en zeker een leuke rol neerzetten. Met Adam Sandler heb ik geen probleem, ik heb wel steeds het idee dat 'ie meer kan. Wordt IB zijn kans om dat te bwijzen? Ik heb er zin in.

Sylvester Stalone to star in Inglorious Bastards

Sylvester Stallone has signed on to the Quentin Tarantino action/adventure/drama, Inglorious Bastards for The Weinstein Company.

According to Latino Review, the World War II flick revolves around a group of soldiers on their way to be executed, only they get the chance for a reprieval. Tarantino describes them as "Not your normal hero types that are thrown into a big deal in World War II."

Tarantino had asked Sly to play a small role in Grind House, but he was
too busy with Rocky Balboa at the time, but he promised to do something in
Inglorious Bastards. The film is set for a 2008 release.
