Ik ga er eigenlijk wel vanuit dat het The Joker wordt, aangezien dit toch wel een beetje wordt weggegeven aan het eind van deel 1

Vond deel 1 erg goed, dus ik hoop niet dat ze het hiermee gaan verpesten. Ik denk eigenlijk ook wel dat Joker de schurk van deel 2 wordt met misschien weer een link naar een andere schurk

Josh Lucas to face Batman?

Josh Lucas (Stealth, Undertow, Around the Bend) was first seen in the comic big screen adaptation Hulk en he is likely to star in the upcoming sequel to Batman Begins.

Lucas could be the candidate for the role of Harvey ‘Two Face’ Dent. If Lucas accept this role, he has to sign for two Batman films. He also starred next to Christian Bale in Mary Harron’s American Psycho.

The character of District Attorney Harvey Dent wil be introduced in the next film, but will likely to transform into the evil alter ego in the third film. Next to Lucas, actor Liev Schreiber up for the role of Dent. In the yet nameless sequel to Batman Begins, Batman will fight together with Dent against the Joker.

Voor mij de verassing van 2005. Wat een film. Ik was nooit echt onder de indruk van de eerdereBatman films. Toen ik hoorde dat Nolan zich ermee benmoeide werd ik erg geinteresseerd. En hij heeft het wel gedaan, en maakte een topfilm.

Het eerste uur een fantastische karakterontwikkeling die uitloopt in een erg lekker actiestuk. Bring on that next film, I should say.

New Batman Rumours

A new name Warner Bros. hopes to have in the next “Batman” film. She’d play a femme fatale.

“This is the first screen appearance for this character in the Batman films and she has a very close connection with a major character in Nolan’s first Batman movie. She will be out for revenge against Bruce Wayne and Gotham in a major way. As of who the studio is looking at for this role, let’s just say that she is nominated for a SAG, a Golden Globe and is on her way to an Oscar nomination as well. She is also in fact five months pregnant and will be in tip top fighting shape once production begins to roll early next year but not before she throws a few coins in a fountain”.

We’re also told that every actor in town is interested in playing The Joker in the next film. Chris Nolan is pretty keen on getting ‘a name’ though.

“As you know, there are many actors who want the chance to do this character (The most requested Batman character next to Batman himself.) The studio is eyeing a major, major actor and Christopher Nolan himself is said to be just as excited as they are in nabbing him for the role. Who is he? Let’s just say that he has a major film coming out this summer and it’s a sequel to one of his biggest hits. In fact, his performance in the first movie was nominated for an Oscar. YES, they are looking at HIM if he is available for the role and rumor is that he might be interested depending on the script, which is being written right now”.

Christian VS Johnny, daar kan alleen maar schitterend vuurwerk van komen, maar goed, het zijn nog maar geruchten, moet nog maar zien of het zo ver komt. Het zou met Weisz (erg sterk in 'The Constant Gardener') een heel sterke uitbreiding/vernieuwing van de cast zijn. Go Christopher Nolan!

Ze kunnen net zo goed nu gelijk alle acteurs koppelen aan diverse personages want heb nu al zoveel namen gelezen. De film schijnt pas in 2008 te draaien dus wacht nog wel even geduldig af.

WB Planning Batman & Superman Sequels

Warner Bros. Pictures is already planning the next installments to Batman Begins and Superman Returns, with respective helmers Christopher Nolan and Bryan Singer in line to return, reports Variety.

While neither director's deal is closed, the studio has hired Jonah Nolan -- Christopher's brother -- to write the screenplay for the untitled "Batman" project. The studio has options on "Begins" star Christian Bale and "Returns" star Brandon Routh.

Next installment in the Caped Crusader franchise is further along in the process since "Begins" was released last summer; Singer's "Returns," now in post-production, doesn't get released until June 30. "Batman" and "Superman" sequels could make their debut in 2008 and 2009, respectively.

Legendary Pictures, which put up half the financing for both "Begins" and "Returns," is expected to board the sequels and split the budgets 50/50 with Warner Bros. In return, Legendary would split all profits, also 50/50.

One idea being tossed about is for Singer to direct a "Superman" sequel soon after he finishes with Warner's remake of sci-fi thriller Logan's Run, which he's also expected to direct.

The trade says Logan's Run is tentatively scheduled to begin shooting this fall in Vancouver. If Singer did pact to direct the "Superman" sequel, that film could be shot in Vancouver as well.

Singer is also set to direct The Mayor of Castro Street, which is in development at Warner Bros.

"Begins" co-writers David Goyer and Christopher Nolan wrote a treatment for the sequel.

Batman Begins Sequel WB's Priority for '08

Alan Horn, President and COO, Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., announced at the Warner Bros. Pictures event at ShoWest in Las Vegas on Thursday that the Batman Begins sequel will be the studio's priority franchise release for 2008. So it looks like the franchise will follow in Spidey's footsteps, as Spider-Man 3 will also be released three years after the second film.

Batman Begins hit theaters on June 15, 2005.
