Als ze nu maar wel de volledige Making Of op de blu-ray zetten, dus zoals die nu alleen te vinden is op de DVD uit de USA.

Nee die komt weer op de toekomstige 3D

Gewoon dan maar de dvd er bij houden net als de laserdic daarvoor.
Ik ben al blij als ik hem op BR heb.

Jaws 3 (3D) was echt te verschrikkelijk maar om het compleet te hebben zal ik hem toch kopen denk ik, vraag me wel af of ze hem nu wel echt 3D gaan maken in plaats van de verrote 70's 3D naar 2D conversie zoals op de DVD.

Next year, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is planning on bringing Jaws to Blu-ray. Director Steven Spielberg's classic adventure stars Roy Scheider (The French Connection) as Martin Brody, a police chief who has to team up with a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss, American Graffiti) and a crazed shark hunter (Robert Shaw, The Deep) in order to defeat a man-eating shark plaguing Brody's New England beach community.

Along with the first Star Wars, Jaws helped usher in the now-pervasive style of contemporary blockbuster filmmaking; it broke box office records, grossing over $470 million worldwide, and won three Academy Awards at the 1976 Oscar Ceremony - Best Film Editing, Best Original Dramatic Score, and Best Sound.

Universal has not yet released the technical or supplementary specifications for this Blu-ray. However, the studio has suggested that one or more of the film's sequels may also get a Blu-ray upgrade on the same day Jaws streets.

Jaws is expected to street on August 14th, 2012.

Ik denk dat Jaws nooit op blu ray uitkomt. Je zult dan te duidelijk zien dat het een mechanische haai is

Blij dat ik ongelijk heb maar ik ben benieuwd hoe de haai eruit ziet in HiDef.

Universal brengt dezelfde ook de 3D versie uit van Jaws. Laat maar komen al die standaard negatieve reacties vooraf

Die banner zal wel een kartonnetje zijn zoals je dat wel vaker ziet bij de steelbooks.

Blij dat ik ongelijk heb maar ik ben benieuwd hoe de haai eruit ziet in HiDef.

Maar destijds in de bioscoop was de film sowieso al HD... Alleen met de VHS en DVD-release is de kwaliteit achteruit gehold, maar een 35mm is van nature HiDef, en de blu-ray release is daar hopelijk een mooie natuurgetrouwe reproductie van...!

Je draait het om door te zeggen dat de haai er nu ''opeens" in HD anders uit ziet. Dat de haai nep is, zie je aan het eind in een paar shots duidelijk. Ook niet niet-HD.

Desalniettemin een waanzinnige film

Geweldige film. Hoop dat hij snel op BD verschijnt. Voor diegene die in de tussentijd een interessant artikel wil lezen, raad ik 'Jaws, Ideology, and Film theory' aan van Stephen Heath. Ook 'Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema' van Mulvey is zeer interessant, waarbij je Jaws aan de 'Male gaze' kan linken.

Jaws komt op 15 Augustus bij ons uit in twee verschillende edities, een normale en een digibook. Dit wordt zojuist aangekondigd door een persbericht van Universal.

4uur extras zijn aangekondigd waarvan 2 extras exclusief zijn voor deze uitgave.

Hopelijk krijgen we nu wel de volledige Making of Jaws-documentaire. Op de 30th Anniversary Edition was de documentaire met 15 minuten ingekort. Alleen de Amerikaanse DVD bevatte de volledige versie.

De UK moet nog wachten, maar wij krijgen 'm al eerder.

Digibook en steelbook komen er beide in.

Mijn dag is nu helemaal goed. Vind deze uitgave ook mooi, maar mijn voorkeur gaat naar de steelbox. Althans in deze uitvoering. Maar deze is ook fijn.
