Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

Way back before TRANSFORMERS 2 stomped on brains and box office figures, Paramount had already pulled the trigger on a July 1, 2011 release date for TRANSFORMERS 3: MEGA METAL ROBOPOCALYPSE.
Mayhem master Michael Bay initially put the brakes on that, saying he needed an extra year away from 'bots (and planned to make a "smaller" movie in between), but clearly the decibel level of the almighty dollar won him over.
And now as claimed by Deadline Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf will "likely start work in May on TRANSFORMERS 3". (I would wonder if there was a script ready, but I don't think it matters.) No official word yet from Bay on his site, other than the previous snap at his mouthy female star.
The question remains as to whether it will be TRANSFORMERS 3-D. Bay has previously dismissed the format as a "gimmick" (as opposed to movies about toys from the 1980s), but his exec producer Steven Spielberg was dazzled by AVATAR, and nobody can argue with the receipts from that movie.
Thrice-dimensionalized or otherwise, the rpoject would have to start powering forward if they want to make next summer's biggest weekend, as they'll need sufficient post-production time for the process of digitally creating gigantic fighting contraptions and erasing Megan Fox's tattoos.

Deel 2 was goed,niet beter dan deel 1 qua verhaal maar qua cgi en sound effects vind ik T2 nog steeds een verbluffende film. Des ondanks de excentrieke acteurs in deze film, was deel 2 toch wel een geslaagd project. Ben daarom benieuwd op welke punten deel 3 zijn voorganger kan overtreffen..3d- techniek of nog meer bots action..

Ik vond T2 echt een CGI-porno versie van Transformers....had niks te maken met goede techniek of mooie en evrbluffende beelden...Avatar is IMo echt een huzarenstukje qua artistieke en realistische CGI....T2 staat echt aan de andere kant voor wat mij betreft...dus ben benieuwd naar T3 wat dat betreft...

Maak er aub TF2 van anders blijf ik maar denken dat je Terminator 2 afbreekt.

Voor mij was TF2 een enorme teleurstelling in de bioscoop, maar op Blu-ray heb ik me er al vaker mee vermaakt. Ik weet waaraan me te verwachten en vind Bay zen regiestijl nog steeds leuk en cool overkomen. Het verhaal? Daar begin ik echter niet over...
Ik ben wel in voor nog een portie Autobots vs. Decepticons, maar geef me aub meer Optimus Prime vs. bad guys dan in deel 1. Hopelijk ook wat leukere humor terug zoals in deeltje 1 en minder puber, nee schrap dat, kinderachtige humor dan deeltje 2.

De titel van deeltje 3 doet de inhoud of beter, het gebrek aan inhoud, in ieder geval wel eer aan...

Als je The Rock kijkt, kun je niet anders concluderen dan dat Bay het wel kan. Dat vind ik nog steeds een geweldige actiefilm met goede humor en goede muziek. Misschien heeft Bay een strakke hand tijdens de productie nodig en moet je hem niet teveel de vrije hand geven?

Toch wel jammer, want hoewel TF2 visueel een goede film was kun je er zo veel meer uit halen (kijk maar naar TF1). Kortom, Bay levert wel goede plaatjes en mooie shots, maar inhoudelijk moet hij misschien toch hulp invragen o.i.d.

The Rock is dan ook meer dan 10 jaar oud... niet alle regisseurs blijven goed...

Gisteren deel 2 gezien. Werkelijk waar...vond 'm tenenkrommend. Sowieso let ik niet op het diepgaand verhaal bij dit soort films, maar vond het verder ook erg rommelig. De botactie gaat zo snel dat je amper kunt volgen wat er gebeurt. De humor leek wel uit zo'n moppenboekje uit de 80's te komen.

Vond ik dan niets gaaf aan deze fim? Oh jawel, de stem van Optimus Prime. Doet me weer terugdenken aan de tijd dat ik zaterdagochtend op Sky Channel de tekenfilm keek.

Misschien ben ik wel een nostalgiezoekende zeurpiet, maar ik had zo gehoopt dat de film wat dichter bij de originele tekenfilm zou blijven. De bots transformeren nu zwaar overdreven. Om over de Constructicons' tranformatie naar Devastator nog maar te zwijgen. Dat lijkt toch nergens op.

Help! Een zuigend zandmonster

Deel 3 hoeft van mij dus ook niet te verschijnen.

Die titel heeft een hoog anime-gehalte.

Vond 1 en 2 geweldig vermaak, laat Bay maar eens een plaatsje inruimen voor mijn all- time favorite Galvatron (of de Dinobots). Hoewel je deze volgens mij pas in een later deel in kunt passen.

Transformers 3 Update From Michael Bay

Hey, it's been a long time since I've posted. Just been a little busy.

Transformers 3 has been going very well. We are going to shoot in LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China. On the talent front, we just locked in Frances McDormand and John Malkovich. Both amazing actors I've always wanted to work with. We also just got Ken Jeong, he is the super funny actor stuck in the trunk from “Hangover” and the Doctor from “Knocked Up.”

We start shooting pre-shoots in about one month.

I also was at a Ferrari charity event this week raising money for a hospital being built by Ferrari in Haiti. I announced that night the newest Autobot to join Transformers: the Ferrari 458 Italia.

I also want to thank everyone on this site that donated to the Make -A-Wish charity. We raised $20,000 which I will personally be matching. This is a great charity where they make wishes come true for kids who are very ill. We have had many Kids from Make-A-Wish visit us on our Transformers sets and this time we will be posting video of their visits on Transformers 3.

Mee eens. Ik vond de Bad Boys franchise een stuk leuker dan die van Transformers. Of Armageddon 2; een nóg grotere komeet vanaf de andere kant van de aarde!

Michael Bay revealed earlier today that John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Ken Jeong have all joined the cast of TRANSFORMERS 3. The first two shouldn't need any introduction; Jeong is well-known for his comedic roles in flicks like KNOCKED UP and THE HANGOVER. He also has a recurring role on NBC's "Community".
Bay didn't reveal what kind of characters the trio will be playing (UPDATE: Seems as though Malkovich will star as the National Intelligence Director), but it's a safe bet Jeong will be portraying a hilarious Asian stereotype, while Malkovich and McDormand will be using their considerable acting skills to mask their contempt for the material and need for an easy paycheck.
TF3 will be shot around the globe, including in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Florida, Africa, Moscow and China. It's tentatively scheduled to open on JULY 1, 2011.

Ken Jeong is een held, maar ook hij zal er niet voor kunnen zorgen dat deze film weer grandioos gaat tegenvallen.

Deel ik vond ik zeker leuk om naar te kijken. Iets te veel humor. Actie's van de TF waren wat te snel. Dan deel 2 wat gewoon een nog slechter verhaal had. De aktie's van de TF waren dit keer te langzaam. Deel2 vond ik vrij weinig aan. Ik hoop dat ze met deel 3 goed maken wat deel 1 en 2 niet hadden. Ik hoop dat ze hem rauwer maken (zeg maar net wat ze bij batman DK gedaan hebben). weg met die simpele humor. Zorg ervoor dat de aktie goed is. Een beter verhaal en dan wordt het een prefecte SF aktie film

While at this week's Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf made some surprisingly candid criticisms of the second film even as he promised the third movie would be better.

"When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did," LaBeouf told Associated Press. "There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone." The actor said that with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay "went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie." He stressed that the human relationships must take precedence over simply seeing robots fighting robots.

The actor promised a bloodier, more tragic Transformers 3. "There's going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they're targeting humans," he revealed. "It's going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed."
