Op het forum van Bluray.com wordt gemeld dat Finding Nemo op 30 Oktober zijn Blu-Ray release zal krijgen in het Midden-Oosten.

Hopelijk volgt hij snel hier, dan kunnen we allemaal onze Pixar-collectie vervolledigen.

De studio komt met een nieuwe verzameling van korte animatiefilms.

Geen grote verrassing, maar wel leuk is dat er dit jaar een nieuwe collectie verschijnt met korte animatiefilms van Pixar. Na de vorige uitgave (2007, zie afbeelding rechts) met dertien korte films komt er dus weer een compilatie met minder lang, maar daarom niet minder knap werk uit de animatiestudio.

Details over de volledige inhoud zijn er nog niet, maar een promotieafbeelding uit een Duits tijdschrift onthult alvast dat Day & Night, Dug’s Special Mission, Partly Cloudy en Hawaiian Vacation (de eerste uit de Toy Story Toons-reeks) in de collectie zijn opgenomen.

Eerder verklapte Enrico Casarosa dat de korte film La Luna, zijn regiedebuut dat voorafgaat aan de Pixars avontuurlijke bioscoopfilm Brave, ook tot de uitverkoren filmpjes behoort. Andere mogelijke kandidaten zijn Presto, Your Friend the Rat en Small Fry (de tweede Toy Story Toon).

In Duitsland verschijnt de nieuwe collectie in november 2012 in de winkel.

Informatie over de Amerikaanse Blu-ray van Brave. Behoorlijk wat extra's. Hopelijk krijgen we geen uitgeklede versie zoals bij Cars 2.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman's Brave (2012) on Blu-ray. The film will be available as a Ultimate Collector's Edition Five-Disc Combo Pack and Collector's Edition Three-Disc Combo Pack. Both will be available for purchase on November 13th.

Headstrong tomboy and skilled archer Princess Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) is determined to break with tradition and carve out her own path in life. Ik denk dat we nu wel voor eens en altijd kunnen tot het besluit komen dat Disney Benelux alle slipcovers laat vallen. Nieuwe releases, Diamond Editions, releases van oude titels, 3D-uitgaves. It's over.

Wat ik veel interessanter dan slipcases vind is of de Nederlandse versie de tweede disc met extra's krijgt. De cover maakt geen melding van 2 discs, dus ik ben bang dat ik moet gaan importeren.

Klopt het dat de 2D versie van Brave op 6 november verschijnt en de 3D versie op 28 november ?
Vind de 3D versie cover wel mooier eigenlijk. Staan geen franse tekst op.

Ik zou er niet op hopen op een bonus disc. Echt jammer van die slipcover Brave zou een mooie gekregen hebben.

Hoop het niet, want die franse tekst erbij vind ik altijd een afknapper... Laat staan die duitse tekst... Best vreemd dat Disney bij Musicals en nasynchronisatie tot in de details wil treden om het origineel te benaderen. Maar een titel mag zomaar drastisch veranderd worden?

Ik heb de film gezien en vond hem echt goed! Twee maal naar de bios geweest. Moeder dochter relatie wordt goed uitgewerkt en de animatie is verbluffend! Dat haar van Merida is echt indrukwekkend om naar te kijken. Ook leuke humor.

Zit wat in. Maar Spider-man, Batman geeft weer geen problemen. Het is ook maar wat je jezelf aanleert cq opgelegd wordt. Ik vind het ook geen drama, maar het weerhoudt mij sowieso om zo'n uitgave te kopen. Als zou hij rijker, dikker en goedkoper zijn.

Overigens kan het nog erger. In Italie (mijn vaderland) wordt zelfs spider-man vertaald naar L'uomo Ragno. Het kan dus nog erger.

Mijn kids zijn gelukkig door de vele engelse games, tv en films de engelse taal al op jonge leefdtijd meer dan machtig. Dus ondanks dat ik het enigszins begrijp, Vind ik het eigenlijk een drogreden. En Zo ingewikkeld is Brave toch niet. Het zal ook meer met commerciele redenen te maken hebben.
