Jammer dat het nu weer andere covers zijn omdat FOX het nu uit brengt en MGM dus niet meer...

De covers zijn hetzelfde, alleen zitten er zo te zien geen slipcases bij. Fox heeft overigens alle blu-ray's (van James Bond en MGM) uitgebracht.

MGM financiële problemen? Ze hebben wel geld om andere films uit te brengen zoals binnenkort Mad Max. Dat ze geen nieuwe films kunnen maken, dat zou ik begrijpen maar wat betreft video is het toch 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment die de MGM catalogus uitbrengt?

Bericht afkomstig van "The Digital Bits"

Speaking of Fox, the studio (along with MGM) is reissuing Quantum of Solace on Blu-ray Disc on 10/19, but be aware this is the same BD as before. It's NOT the new ultimate edition. The James Bond Blu-ray Collection: Volumes 1-3 are also being reissued on 10/5, again the same as before. Our sources tell us the Quantum of Solace: Ultimate Edition and the remaining classic Bond Blu-rays are waiting on the theatrical release next new Bond film, which is itself waiting on the resolution of MGM's financial difficulties. In other words, don't hold your breath.

In Spanje is 13 oktober James Bond volume 4 pack uitgekomen met License to kill, Quantum of Solace en The Man with the golden gun.



Deze titels hebben helaas geen nl subs. Ik snap niet waarom deze titels overal uitgebracht worden behalve in Nederland

Komt doordat Fox NL een totaal afwijkende strategie / beleid voert m.b.t. de rest van de EU en de wereld. Dit doen ze al lang met VHS en DVD. Ik verwacht niet dat dit snel zal veranderen…

Er valt weer wat nieuws te melden.
Tussen nu en kerst 2012 ( ) zal MGM beginnen met het uitbrengen van de overigen Bond titels die nog niet zijn uitgebracht op BD:

All right... we've got some great news to report for you guys today, specifically that MGM and EON Productions have finally gotten their ducks lined up straight and have just announced that the 23rd James Bond film will arrive in theatres on 11/9/2012, and will once again star Daniel Craig in the title role. Sam Mendes will direct a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. More here at Deadline Hollywood. Here's the other good thing about that: Sometime between now and the holidays next year, MGM will start releasing the rest of the classic Bond films that are as-yet-unavailable on Blu-ray. For those of you wondering why they've been so long delayed, it's because MGM Home Entertainment has been waiting to tie them into the release of the next new film.

Op dit moment ben ik bezig alle beschikbare James Bond titels te kopen op blue-ray.

Nu zag ik op enkele sites dat de blu-ray versie van Never say never again beschikbaar is voor regio a (Amerikaanse zone). Weten jullie of de blu-ray versie van Never say never again tevens is uitgebracht voor regio b (Europese zone)?

Officiëel is het niet, maar Bill Hunt van The Digital Bits verwacht dat de overige James Bond-films pas volgend jaar zullen worden uitgebracht, hoewel hij niet uitsluit dat er dit jaar nog een paar verschijnen.

By the way, after posting word of the renewal of the MGM/Fox distribution deal yesterday, a LOT of you have asked about the Blu-ray release status of the remaining 9 classic James Bond films. There's no official word yet, BUT... my studio and industry tell me unofficially that - at the latest - fans should start watching for them mid-to-late next year, leading up to (or timed with) the theatrical release of the as-yet-generically-titled Bond 23 (currently set for 11/9/2012). It's also possible you might see a couple later this year, in time for the holidays, but 2012 is more likely. Rest assured, they ARE coming. MGM has just been waiting to tie them promotionally to another new film. So there you go.

MGM and Fox to relaunch James Bond DVD and Blu-Ray box sets in 2012

In news that will not be in any way surprising to James Bond fans, MI6 understands that MGM is planning a major DVD & Blu-Ray box set relaunch in 2012 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 007 series.

The originally planned schedule to release the entire series on Blu-Ray hit the skids in late 2009 when MGM's financial woes put everything on ice. Only a random smattering of 13 from the available 22 titles have been released in the high-definition format. Since their rescue and new found financial freedom, MGM upped their home video distribution deal with Fox in a contract that now runs until 2016.

With regular DVD and Blu-Ray sales down across the industry, due largely to the ramp up in streaming services such as Netflix, the focus for many studios is to package titles attractively and hang them on notable events such as major anniversaries.

As well as Bond reaching 50, MGM is understood to be launching a Rocky box-set in 2012 to celebrate the series' 35th anniversary. Fox and MGM are prepping a "West Side Story" set for its 50th birthday in November this year.

There are no firm details available yet, but word is that Limited Edition and Gift Set options are being considered to boost sales of the Bond catalog which has been repeatedly mined for DVD releases since 1999.

Ik heb die 9 Nederlandse bond films. Als ze hopelijk de rest ook uit gaan brengen en niet een volledige box, dat je die dan verplicht aan te schaffen bent.
