Je zou deze drie qua hoezen zo in een mooie box kunnen stoppen. Echt lelijk vind ik ze trouwens niet, het heeft wel iets.

The Birds lijkt dan eindelijk dit jaar te gaan komen! Is onderdeel van een indrukwekkende selectie van Universal titels die uitgebreid gerestaureerd zijn. De overige titels zijn:

Redelijk wat titels van die lijst waren al bekend, maar de Dracula en Frankensteins zijn een vreselijk aangename verrassing voor me.

En Pillow Talk!!! Een van de films die Hitchcock altijd genoemd heeft waarvan hij het zeer betreurde dat hij dit niet heeft mogen regisseren.

En de Rebecca, Notorious en Spellbound blu's zijn verzonden, laat maar komen!

Als ik deze bron moet geloven gaab ze de complete classic monsters set uitbrengen op blu-ray. Ook zou er een Hitchcock box-set uitkomen met The Birds, Psycho, and Vertigo.

Als Vertigo echt zou verschijnen is 2012 zonder twijfel het beste jaar in blu-ray geschiedenis, maar ik ga er maar voorlopig van uit dat dit niet het geval is. Anders slaap ik een week niet

De foto's lijken er veel beter uit te zien dan de reviewer ons wil doen geloven. Althans, zie bijzonder weinig mis met de screens en alle 'problemen' die hij aankaart lijken me veel meer source-related dan een probleem met de transfer. Maar die twee kunnen ze wel vaker niet uit elkaar houden op blu-ray.com.

Omdat ze de rechten op deze titels niet meer hebben vrees ik dat je dan lang kunt wachten. De recensie wekt de indruk dat het mogelijk is, maar dat lijkt me onwaarschijnlijk.
