In de VS wordt op 3 november 2015 de TV-miniserie The 10th Kingdom uit 2000 op Blu-ray uitgebracht in een 15th Anniversary Special Edition.



Mill Creek Entertainment has announced the release of the epic miniseries The 10th Kingdom for the first time on Blu-ray. The landmark television event will be available on Blu-ray for the first time ever, in high-definition, on November 3rd as a 15th Anniversary Special Edition release for $24.98 MSRP.

The 10th Kingdom is an Emmy Award winning miniseries event that was initially broadcast over five nights in two-hour episodes on NBC in 2000. It is a fairytale story for grown-ups and children alike, a witty and satirical reflection of modern society told as an epic tale of good versus evil. The 10th Kingdom depicts the adventures of a young woman (Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Father of the Bride) and her father (John Larroquette, TV's Night Court) after they are transported from New York City through a magical mirror into a parallel world of fairytales. The star-studded cast includes Ed O'Neill (TV's Modern Family), Diane Wiest (Parenthood), Scott Cohen (TV's Necessary Roughness), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), Camryn Manheim (TV's The Practice) and Ann-Margret (Grumpy Old Men).

This American fairytale fantasy miniseries was written by Simon Moore, who's multiple Emmy-winning Gulliver's Travels launched the "event" miniseries genre in 1996. The show was produced by Britain's Carnival Films and Hallmark Entertainment and executive produced by Robert Halmi, Sr. (Gulliver's Travels, Merlin, Alice in Wonderland). Also, serving as producers were Jane Prowse, Simon Moore and Brian Eastman.
