De blu-ray release van "The Sound Of Music" is in de US gezet op 2 november 2010.

FOX today has officially issued a PRESS RELEASE with a release date for the 1965 classic musical “The Sound of Music” on Blu-ray Disc. The title will street on November 2nd and features a whole new restoration. The tech specs include full 1080p Hi-Def video in the 2.20:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio as well as Dolby Digital 4.0 Surround sound. The release will come in both a 3-Disc “combo” set and also in the form of a “Limited Edition Collector’s Set“. Both of these are available PRE-ORDER3-Disc “combo” set carrying a $31.49 price tag and the Limited Edition Collector’s Set carrying a $80.99 price tag. Below you’ll find a list of bonus materials set to be included on the 3-disc set as well as a list of bonus materials set to be EXCLUSIVE to the “Limited Edition Collector’s Set” and a glimpse of it and its contents. Mooie set en waarschijnlijk een must-have voor de absolute fans, ik laat deze toch echt aan me voorbij gaan (zeker omdat de film standaard ieder jaar op tv te aanschouwen is).

Juist niet.. als ik kijk naar mijn filmcollectie komt daar slechts een klein deel van jaarlijks (meerdere malen) op tv. Maar goed, ik ga nu zelf teveel offtopic.

Die set ziet er op zich wel mooi uit maar de prijs is toch echt te heftig.

De collector's set op Amazon besteld. De prijs is heftig, akkoord, maar het is zo'n mooie box

Ik was niet ontgoocheld met de box van "Gone with the wind" en "Wizard of Oz" en dat zal bij deze Sound of Music ook niet het geval zijn denk ik.

En ook nog eens vanuit de UK te versturen dus geen belastingtoeslag erbij...

Dat is omgerekend inclusief verzendkosten E 16,30... Dat moet wel een fout zijn. Maar hopelijk een waar we geluk mee hebben. Ik heb in elk geval besteld. Als het een fout blijkt en niet doorgaat kan ik altijd nog ergens anders bestellen.

Ik heb amazon een mailtje gestuurd met de vraag of de prijs wel klopt etc. Als antwoord heb ik een keiharde garantie gekregen dat ik deze set voor genoemde prijs zal ontvangen. Daar kunnen ze volgens mij niet niet meer zo makkelijk onderuit!
