The Devil's Advocate comes out on Blu-ray
Warner announces it as Unrated Director's Cut
Warner Home Entertainment continues to release its back catalogue on Blu-ray. Now, the release of The Devil's Advocate has been announced. Here, the cover is quite interesting since it advertises the movie as "Unrated Director's Cut".
At this point, it's not clear whether this is an entirely new cut of the film. The probability is high that it is the original theatrical version with unblurred sculptures in Al Pacino's apartment. Those were digitally altered for the VHS and DVD releases because sculptor Frederik Hart sued Warner because the sculptures in the film resembled his work "Ex Nihilo" too much for his taste.
The Blu-ray of The Devil's Advocate will be released on September 18th, 2012.
