Nominaties voor de Oscars zijn bekend

Geen nominatie voor Lucia de B. (Accused) van Paula van der Oest

De Golden Globes zijn nog maar net uitgereikt of de nominaties voor de jaarlijkse Oscars zijn bekendgemaakt. Editie 87 alweer. De grootste kanshebbers zijn The Grand Budapest Hotel en Birdman met ieder 9 nominaties, zowel in de categoriën Beste Film, Beste Regisseur en Beste Originele Scenario. Daarna komt The Imitation Game met 8 nominaties. American Sniper en Boyhood hebben ieder 6 nominaties. Opvallend is de film Selma, die naast de nominatie voor Beste Film alleen nog maar in de categorie Beste Song genomineerd is. De Nederlandse film Lucia de B. werd als kanshebber voor een nominatie gezien, maar kreeg er uiteindelijk geen. Wel is er een nominatie voor de korte Nederlandse animatiefilm A Single Life van Job Roggeveen , Marieke Blaauw en Joris Oprins. Het is voor het eerst sinds 14 jaar dat een Nederlandse animatiefilm een Oscarnominatie in de wacht sleept.

De winnaars worden op 22 februari bekendgemaakt tijdens het grote gala in het Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
