The Fate of the Furious (Fast & Furious 8) (2017)

Het kon niet uitblijven na het enorme succes van deel 7..... It's definite: the next Fast & Furious film will be in 2017, Vin Diesel has revealed... And they keep on coming. Even though this summer's Fast & Furious 7 suggested a place to take a breather for the series, Universal - buoyed by a box office take of $1.1bn and growing - is quickly getting Fast & Furious 8 onto the grid. Vin Diesel took to the stage at CinemaCon in the US yesterday, and confirmed that the new movie would be in cinemas on April 14th 2017. We're assuming from that that Diesel will be returning, and he's already hinted at a bigger role for Kurt Russell at least in the next movie. It's also rumoured to have a New York setting, at least in part. Fast & Furious 7 is currently the seventh biggest grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office, and by distance Universal's top grossing movie. It's unclear as of yet whether James Wan will return to direct Fast & Furious 8, but as we hear more, we'll let you know.
